Episode Five

Melissa Marshall is proud to present the newest addition to the No You Cant'cer Foundation, Melissa Marshall's Bag of Tricks and Ostomy Tips! Every Tuesday, Melissa will be back to introduce you to an all-new ostomy product, or accessory, and tell you where to get it. She will highlight products you may already have, some imported from other countries, and a few little items that you may have never thought to include in your own ostomy regimen.

In this weeks episode, just in time for the holidays, Melissa literally unpacked her "Bag of Tricks", a small clutch that features the words "It's in the Bag" by designer Katie Loxton. She carries her products with her at all times to insure that she never has an issue or is stuck without her appliances. Melissa also stresses the fact that, as an ostomate, you are legally entitled to carry your ostomy products with you at all times, even on the airplane. But, just in case, she always has cone barrier pre-cut in case she can't travel with her trusty scissors.
Melissa then discusses her traveling tips, which includes always packing her handy RikSack by Stomaworks, available HERE, putting on a new bag before she sets off, and limiting her food and drink intake to lessen the amount of times she needs to void while traveling. And once she gets to the party, she loves to use her new Hollister two piece mini bag with Ceramide. As she has said in previous episodes, the Ceramide does wonders for protecting and healing the sensitive parastomal area. It offers a sleeker look beneath your clothes, which makes it perfect for all the holiday partied coming up. You can read more about the mini bagHERE.

That's all for this episode of Melissa Marshall's Bag of Tricks and Ostomy Tips! We hope you learned a little something about these two new ostomy products, and we'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. You can also find us at the links below! Come back next Tuesday to see what's in Melissa's Bag of Tricks.

And, as a side note, it's not too late to order a No You Cant'cer Butterfly necklace now to give to someone special this holiday season, or as a new little something to add to your own collection. Please visit the No You Cant'cer store HERE and see if we have something that's right for you! Remember, all proceeds go to colorectal health and ostomy education.
