Hong Kong Pools – The Best Places to Cool Off in the Heat of Summer

As summer heats up, what better way to beat it than taking a refreshing dip in one of Hong Kong’s many beautiful pools? Swimming offers many physical and mental advantages as a low-impact exercise form that’s also fun with family or friends or just by yourself!

Hongkong may be known for its public and government-run pools, but the city also offers incredible hotel pool experiences. Many luxurious and exquisite hotels feature impressive indoor/outdoor pools – some even boast spectacular indoor/outdoor pools with breathtaking views, top-tier facilities and dining options! These impressive swimming experiences allow visitors to make memories that will last them a lifetime!

Even after an otherwise dismal start to their day, many eager swimmers lined up outside many of Hong Kong’s finest pools this morning – Kennedy Town Swimming Pool being one of the city’s largest water sports centres – early enough for swim coaches and their students. Even with less-than-ideal weather conditions, many were still able to find space inside.

Due to a shortage of lifeguards, not all pools are currently operating due to club bookings; 20 out of 45 public pools have informed club bookings they cannot operate during this period, according to Hong Kong Recreation and Sports Professionals General Union. This could result in cancelation of swimming classes for both children and adults being cancelled by these clubs, further irritating their members.

For those wanting to enjoy Hong Kong’s gorgeous skyline in the background, The Peninsula features one of the city’s most impressive indoor pools – one with Roman-inspired statuesque columns and an incredible layout, sure to transport visitors away from city life and make them feel as though they’ve traveled all the way back to Rome on vacation!

Island Shangri-La is another incredible outdoor pool located right in Central. Boasting an avenue of palm trees and umbrella-lined lounge chairs, this massive facility provides visitors with panoramic views of some of Hong Kong’s iconic buildings!

Tsing Yi Swimming Complex is an excellent option for families with young children. Boasting an incredible water slide, mushroom and tree-shaped fountains and three leisure pools – perfect for families! In addition to that there’s also a teaching and training pool as well as round stepping and toddler pools where your little ones can splash about all day!
